will be ushered in bv Pelham residents at a number of private home parties as well as a large party at tire Pelham Country Club in the form of a dinner dance Kenneth Kelly is in charge of the arrangements for the party atthe club for which reservations indicate a large attendance There will be a program of entertainment and special decorations fitting to the festivity of the occasion have been put up throughout the club house Dinner will be served from 10 with dancing starting an hour earlier Among those entertaining to wel come the New Year are Miss Caro line Claggett daughter of Mr and Mi Strabo Claggett of High brook Avenue who will have a dance at her home from 9 to 1 to night for about 50 guests Mr and Mrs Edwin Mortimore of Stellar Avenue will entertain at a dinner party at their homes to night Dinner parties will also be given bv Miss Betty Donaldson daughter of Mr and Mrs Victor Donald son of the Esplanade and Miss Elizabeth Lykes and her brother Joseph Lykes Jr before
