Known to some as Moyna, Renie, Mama, and mom she was a loving wife to the late Dieter Pfingst, devoted mother to Ste- phen, Marc, and Kerry, awesome grandmother to Eric, Ryan, Katie, J.D., Maddie, Liam, and Livi, daughter to the late Richard and Gwenda Williams, sister to Peter Edis and Christopher Williams, and adoring partner to Jerry Jenkins. Born in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex England, Maureen moved to America with her mother and brother to settle in Pearl River, NY in 1953 where she attended Pearl River High School and met her husband of over 50 years, the late Dieter Pfingst. She attended Alfred State University where she attained an A.S. degree in horticulture and floral design and later was the proud co-owner of a successful flower shop for twenty years in Nanuet, NY called Flowers by Dieter with her husband.

Maureen was so full of life; known to all as a fun loving, compassionate, creative person who always had a smile on her face and keen sense of humor. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, spending time with family and friends, and had a passion for all things royal (and a good cuppa tea of course). Long Lake, NY was her sanctuary where she looked forward to visiting her father and Jean, her adoring step mother as often as possible. After Dieter passed away in 2010 she spent the last five years with her loving partner Jerry Jenkins in Ormond Beach, FL sharing adventures together. All who knew her could clearly see how in love they were and what a blessing it was for them to have found each other.
