Ciarkstown SHOPLIFTING CHARGE: Matthew Dapolito, 41, of Nanuet, was charged Friday with petty larceny in the theft of a pair of jeans worth $58 from Stern's in the Nanuet Mall. Security guards held Dapolito for officers. He was released pending a Justice Court hearing April 22. SHOPLIFTING CHARGES: A 17-year-old woman was charged Sunday with stealing clothes worth $56 from Macy's in the Nanuet Mall, police said. She was released on a petty larceny charge pending a court hearing April 8.

Police refused to identify her. A 15-year-old girl was arrested in connection with the same incident and turned over to her mother. The teen must appear in Police Youth Court. CARS STOLEN: A 16-year-old Valley Cottage girl reported Monday that her 1993 Ford Escort was stolen from the tennis court parking lots at Nyack High School, police said. She left the car at 7:30 a.m.

and returned at 2 p.m., police said. Joseph Ventimiglia, 63, of Na attention of officers by the youth's mother, police said. Jeremiah O'Connor 88 Sparkill resident Jeremiah O'Connor Sr. of Sparkill died Monday, March 18, 1996, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern. He was 88. He was born March 8, 1908, in New York City to Michael and Bridget Lynch O'Connor.

He worked as a doorman for the Links Club of Manhattan for 18 years, retiring in 1987. He lived in Nanuet for five years and moved to Sparkill last October. Before then, he lived in the Bronx. He was a parishioner of St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church in Nanuet, and was a fourth-degree knight in Joseph Lamb Assembly Knights of Columbus Council in the Bronx.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine O'Connor of Sparkill; two sons, Michael O'Connor of Ber-genfield, N.J. and Jeremiah O'Connor Jr. of Stony Point; a daughter, Kathleen Campbell of Nanuet; and seven grandchildren. A Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, at St.

Klages, a retired lieutenant in the New York City Fire Department, died Sunday, March 17, 1996, at his home in Bo-nita Springs, Fla. He was 80.

He was born July 8, 1915, in the Bronx to William and Mary Kerr Klages. He retired in 1963 as a lieutenant after 27 years. After his retirement, he worked as a Realtor with Cerrone Real Estate in Ardsley, and also ran his own home improvement business, B.K. Home Improvement, in Ardsley. Mr.

Klages lived in Ardsley from 1958 through 1990, when he moved to Chestertown. He spent winters in Bonita Springs. He graduated from DeWitt Clinton High School in New York and attended City College of the City University of New York for one year. On Jan. 11, 1947, he married Margaret O'Donnell in He was founder of Ardsley Senior Division of Little League and belonged to Holy Name Society of New York City Fire Department.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Bill Klages of New Fairfield, a daughter, Maureen MacKenzie of New City; and seven grandchildren. The funeral will be 10 a.m. tomorrow, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Ardsley. Burial follows in Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale. home field advantage, Ciarkstown Police Department Honor Guard took first place in Baltimore's St. Patrick's Day Parade. Clarkstown's unit made their Baltimore counterparts green with envy. The Baltimore County Police Color Guard finished second, while the Baltimore city police unit finished third. The Ciarkstown honor guard has won numerous awards since forming in 1984, said Detective Gary McDonald, its commanding officer.

McDonald said he was proud of winning first place because the Baltimore-Washington area has many high-quality units. Clarkstown's 30-member honor guard comprises officers who volunteer their time. He was 83. He was born June 30, 1912, in New York City to John and Elizabeth Corbett. Mr. Corbett owned and operated Flowers by Corbetts in Elizabeth with his wife Ruth, before retiring in 1977. He was a member of Florists' Transworld Delivery Association, a district representative for district 14-D.

During World War II, he served in the Army with 69th Regiment of 165th Infantry Rainbow Division. He also served with the National Guard, retiring from the service in 1946 after 18 years. Mr. Corbett was a member of Knights of Columbus, Elizabeth Council No. 253, and a fourth-degree knight in John Dawson-Gil-mary Shea Knights of Columbus.

He also belonged to Elks Lodge No. 1875, and to Kiwanis, Rotary, Union County Chamber of Commerce, Friendly Sons of St. Patrick, Thornsticks, St. Michael's Holy Name Society, St. Mary's of the Assumption Nocturnal Adoration Society and Sloatsburg Senior Citizens club.

His wife, Ruth Corbett, died in 1981. He is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Corbett-Biddulph of Elizabeth and Teresa R. Babi-nick of Beach Heaven, N.J.; a son, Philip M. Anderson of Harvey Cedars, N.J.; a sister, Rose M. Donegan of Sloatsburg; and four grandchildren.

The funeral will be 9:30 a.m. Friday at Leonard Lee Funeral Home, 301 East Blancke Linden, N.J. Burial follows in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Newark, N.J. Mary's Abbey, Morristown, N. J. Patricia M. Keefe, 67 Pomona resident Patricia M. Keefe of Pomona died after a long illness Tuesday, March 19, 1996, at Dr.

Robert L. Yeager Health Center in Pomona. She was 67. She was born May 30, 1928, in New York City to Patrick and Mary Howard. She worked as an alcohol counselor at Rockland Psychiatric Center in Orangeburg, from 1979 through 1984.

23, 1916, in New York City to James F. and Katharine E. Fay Moran. He worked as chief engineer for Jewish Memorial Hospital in New York City from 1946 through 1982. Mr.

Moran had been a Palisades resident since 1957 and lived in Washington Heights prior to then. He served as committee chairman for Rockland Republican Party and was on Orangetown Zoning Board of Appeals. He was a member of the Orangetown Auxiliary Police. During World War II, he served with the Merchant Marines. He was a member of St.

Stephen's Episcopal Church in Pearl River. Survivors include two daughters, Melanie Wargo of Pough-keepsie and Deirdre Vugiukas of Tappan; and six grandchildren. His wife, Helen Moran, died before him. Two brothers, Peter Moran and John Moran, and two sisters, Ann Murphy and Frances Percy, all died before him. A memorial service will be 1 p.m.

Robert R. Mowery, 72 Former Suffern resident Robert R. Mowery, a former senior buyer with Lederle Labs, died Monday, March 18, 1996, at Duke Medical Center, in Durham, N.C. He was 72. He was born June 16, 1923, in Brooklyn, to, Harold and Fanny Rogers Mowery.

Mr. Mowery worked as a senior buyer with Lederle Labs in Pearl River for 38 years. He lived Suffern for many years before moving to Lockwood Folly, N.C, in 1992. Mr. Mowery belonged to Rockland Rod and Gun Club, Ramapo Masonic Lodge No.

589 in Suffern, Ramapo Ski Club and Lockwood Folly Men's Golf Club. He graduated from Admiral Farragut Academy in Pine Beach, N. and served in the Navy. i i i i ft ft ft ft. ft ft ft She belonged to the Nine teenth Century club of Haverstraw, the Morning Music club of Rockland County and Rockland County Conservation Association.
